Probable Cause

THE DTSB

The DTSB determines the Probable Cause of this accident to be Medical Incapacitation in flight. This is derived from the experience level of the pilot, and his experience with the AirCam, and due to the fact that the witness did not hear any abnormal engine sounds prior to the flight becoming erratic. The pilot’s family has history of heart disease and stroke. The passenger was not pilot rated and did survive, but has not provided any additional information to date.

NTSB

Recommendation

THE DTSB

The DTSB recommends that all pilots of all aircraft monitor their own medical conditions and avoid flight as the only pilot when it becomes prudent to do so.
